It is the policy of Effra Early Years Centre to maintain high health and safety standards in order to protect pupils, staff members, parents, visitors and others when on our premises, or whilst engaged on educational visits.
At Effra Early Years Centre we recognise that learning begins at birth and continues throughout life. We acknowledge that every child has the ability to be a competent learner, regardless of their circumstances, disability or other special needs.
E-safety involves pupils, staff, governors and parents making best use of technology, information, training and this policy to create and maintain a safe online and ICT environment for Effra Early Years Centre.
At Effra we want children to develop a healthy attitude towards food and good, balanced eating habits for the future. We want to educate children about moderation, balance diet, healthy enjoyment of food and also to develop an understanding of where food comes from .
Effra Early Years Centre is committed to provide an environment for pupils, where children feel safe and are kept safe and all staff contribute to the culture of vigilance which is embedded in our Centre. All staff form part of the wider safeguarding system for children. This system is described in statutory guidance Working together to safeguard children.
At Effra Early Years Centre we believe that Communication & Language is integral to everything children do and builds a foundation from which they can develop all other skills, including Literacy skills.
